Our Core Artrepreneur Program consists of 13 in-class weekly workshops.

Artrepreneur’s unique methodology allows for conversations to occur between artists of various disciplines, expertise, and backgrounds. Selection Process

The committee may include representatives from partner organizations who are cultural administrators, local artists, educators and business advisors. The cancellation of events like art and craft fairs has caused many artists to seek alternative outlets to exhibit and sell their work. As part of the application process, you may be invited to have a follow-up call, and these will take place between 30 November 2020 and the 9 December 2020. The ARTrepreneur-in-Residence program also offers access to multiple co-working hubs across Atlantic Canada as part of Planet Hatch’s Entrepreneurial Services Passport Program.

Artrepreneur is comprised of weekly seminars, workshops, assignments and a final presentation and expo over a period of four months. The program is subsidized and supported by partners, which allows York Region Arts Council to fulfill our commitment of delivering inclusive and financially accessible programming. Since this is an independent program, we are looking for creative, self-driven artists who want to build connections and relationships within the entrepreneurial community, grow their business locally, take full advantage of the resources available in Fredericton and either bring their product to market or increase market success! When this art is accessed beyond traditional arts presenting institutions like museums or art galleries, we create a more balanced and accessible arts economy that impacts and heals the world. At the end of each cohort there will be an EXPO where the fellows will present their venture to friends, family, peers, community members, and potential partners and customers.

I then help them find their Golden Thread (that niche that ties all of their favorite experiences, skills, and core values together) in order to inform their business idea, business model, and multiple revenue streams to fulfill their lifestyle needs and desires.
