The world reacts to your action and develops accordingly; everything you collect has a purpose; the loot cycle is rewarding and even offers silly apparel options and dyes. Once you reach rank 50 you’ll be rewarded with a proficiency cache for over-leveling, but you seem to lose the ability to rank down which makes the space that much less daunting. We encourage you to read our updated PRIVACY POLICY and COOKIE POLICY. März 2019 für PS4, Xbox One und PC. I hereby nominate The Division 2 for an honorary BUG (bring-up-your-grades) award for its vast upgrade on the back of its predecessor. That wouldn't be possible without the slick, brilliant combat that defines The Division 2. It sees you fight your way through the grounds of The White House (which will eventually become your rather impressive main base of operations) moving from cover to cover, picking off enemies as you maneuver through bodies and abandoned Christmas presents, and spot not quite "Make America Great" caps as you do. There are a lot of excellent activities and progression that await you after the critical path, at least for a while anyway. Once you hit the The Division 2's endgame, it really opens up. The Division 2 is very much like the first game of the franchise. Impressive effort with a few noticeable problems holding it back. So, endgame: I played it and I'm impressed. And your job is to mow them down, because they "contribute nothing". The only one who (barely) breaks this rule is Diesel, from the District Union Arena, who briefly takes control of a turret on a stationary armored car but then just turns out to be another armor-clad Hyena machine gunner. Incredibly, it never feels monotonous, or repetitive because the locales you're doing all that within are so varied and atmospheric. There's the rare "Rockstar Games bug" that's more absurd than game-breaking, like the one below where an enemy character model got stuck inside of a barrier, or the time when someone went flying 50 feet in the air, but those are easy to shrug off. This won’t bother many people, but it’s played completely straight here and makes very little actual sense. It's that it doesn't hold your hand or simply stack you up against bullet sponges. Well, it’s a less attractive and dynamic space without the consequence of potentially losing or stealing items that you care about, but it’s fun enough on its own. With new, free content scheduled for release throughout 2019, and considering Ubisoft’s recent track record with keeping releases like Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands fresh for years with new content, I wouldn’t bet against The Division 2 being a thousand-hour game for dedicated players.
Plus, the more you play through the endgame, the higher your world tier will rise, which raises the stakes. I think this game is great other then the a.i being retarded as hell, but I enjoy the expansive world with the variety of enemies. Sure, The Division 2's idea of a powerful endgame enemy still typically amounts to a dude wearing a lot of padding and a helmet. You can get hold of items with a gear score higher than 450 by opening proficiency caches awarded for gaining normal experience, Dark Zone experience, or by winning matches of The Division 2’s organized PvP mode called Conflict, plus a few other ways. The Division 2 in its entirety is a technical masterpiece, a game that's tactics shine the longer you stay without the usual genre contaminations. A repeat of the first one, this game is basically fascist propaganda that forces the player to murder their fellow citizens. The game’s Dark Zone and Conflict, both PvP areas, suffer from many of the problems of the first game. The fact that The Division 2 manages to make this kind of linear storyline within an equally compelling open-world structure is seriously applaudable, even if the gameplay within is basically just 'go here, shoot the bad guys, get the loot' and repeat ad nauseum. It's still extreme of course - the AI ain't got nothing on your fellow players - and I fear how insane it'll be when players get better and better, but it's a major change of pace from the main area of DC, and there's always the lure of better loot. Of course, it's not entirely perfect, but after the onslaught of issues and woes surrounding Anthem's launch, it's really refreshing to play a game like this that just works, and, more importantly, is incredibly fun to play.
The Division 2 deals with the pacing of its main missions incredibly well, introducing chunks of action and combat that constantly ebb and flow in a way that's utterly enthralling. Overall, though?
The skills are particularly rewarding, as they're not really skills but gadgets to use in combat. The good news here is that gear score isn’t nearly as important as itemization when it comes to effective power. Completing the ultimate Dark Zone achievement of a tier 1 manhunt doesn’t offer any exclusive cosmetics on its own, which seems like a missed opportunity for getting people to chase bragging rights, but it does award gear score 250 items. This is done visually, and you can clearly see the areas that have had their armour stripped away, letting you know where to shoot them. Watch our full Division 2 review video below: Your overall objective is to take back Washington D.C., your latest playground, from three factions and help out the citizens that are left. That would be a meaningless statement if it wasn't fun to play up until I reached that decisive apex; but fortunately, it is. The rewards for successful bartering with the illusive Thieves’ Den vendor are much the same. The government has largely collapsed, law and order has eroded. So with all that risk, you’d expect a big reward, right? While the virus has been contained, its effects are most evident in the devastated streets of the nation's capital where survivors, Set in Washington D.C., the game takes place 7 months after a deadly virus was released in New York City and the nation has become a shell of its former self.
For my money, The Division 2 is the best of the shooter genre. In the same vein as other looter shooters, The Division 2 offers a solo experience to those less inclined to team with friends, although it's also one of the more punishing to those who don't want to use a buddy system. This is a great game. It’s the little moments that really make The Division 2 pop for me.
